GENERAL
The Cessna 300 Transceiver, shown in Figure 1, is a self-contained
communications system capable of receiving and transmitting on anyone
of 360 manually tuned, crystal-controlled channels. The channels are
spaced 50 kHz
apar
t a nd cover a frequency range of 118.00 thru 135.95
MHz.
The 300
Transceiver
system
consists of a panel-mounted receiver /
transmitter, a spike a
ntenna
a nd interconnecting cables. The system
utilizes the airplane m icrophone, headphone and speaker.
All of the required operating controls are mounted on the front panel
of the 300 Transceiver
except
t
he microphone switch. In addition,
whe
n
two or more radios
are
installe
d,
a transmitter selector switch a
nd
a
speaker-phone selector
switch
are provided. Each control function is
described in Figure 1.
