Never use a sharp, hard, or abrasive obj ect on t he print head.
I f print qualit y declines ( sym pt om s can include unreadable bar codes or st reaks t hrough t ext and graphics) ,
t he t ypical cause is debris buildup on t he print head which, left unat t ended, can lead t o prem at ure dot failure.
Depending upon t he supplies and print ing param et ers used, different cleaning m et hods are recom m ended.

I f print ing wit h direct t herm al m edia or t herm al t ransfer m edia wit h wax ribbon, clean t he print head as
follows:
1) Turn OFF t he power swit ch and unplug t he print er. Open t he print er. W a it br ie fly for t h e
pr in t h e a d t o cool.
2) Rem ove any inst alled m edia and ribbon. Using a Cot t on Swab m oist ened ( not soaked) wit h
isopropyl alcohol, t horoughly clean t he Print head.
