grounDing instructions The Express 12 Gallon Multi Surface Cleaner must be grounded. If it should malfunction or breakdown, grounding provides a path of least resistance for electrical current to reduce the risk of electrical shock. Add a recommended cleaning chemical. Follow mixing and handling instructions on chemical containers. Failure to properly handle chemicals can result in serious injury or death. If you are using powdered cleaning chemicals, mix them prior to adding the chemicals to the solution tank. Depress the lever behind the large right wheel (Figure 6) and lower the cleaning head.

Check the spray on the jets for even flow. A jet that sprays unevenly or dribbles needs to be cleaned (see Figure 20). Do NOT spray the high pressure solution in your face or eyes. Bodily injury can result if you do.
WEEKLy maIntEnanCE (EVEry 20 Hours of oPEratIon) Inspect vacuum hoses for holes and loose cuffs. When using the machine, follow mixing and handling instructions on chemical containers. Inspect the cord and cord grip for damage. Replace the cord and/or cord grip immediately if damaged.
Change the felt seal (see Figure 23). This is recommended after every 10 hours of fluffy, usable side use. (For step-by-step instructions on removing the cleaning head and seal, refer to the Repair Guide section of this compressed, non-usable side manual, starting on page 27.) Always keep a spare felt seal soaking in 30 weight oil.
