OPERATION

When using the machine keep the warnings
from the INTRODUCTION in mind.
1. Put the plugs of the containers into the
sockets (no. 12, fig. 1) of the column.
2. Turn the container heating on by switch
no. 8 (fig. 1). The indicator light in the
switch will light up.
3. Take the cover from the filter unit (no. 4
+ 5, fig. 1), place a paper filter in the
unit and moisten it.
4. Put the right amount of ground coffee
into the filter.
5. Put the cover back on the filter unit and
place it on top of the container.
6. Turn the swivel arm with the outlet (no.
2, fig. 1) over the opening in the filter
cover (see fig. 3).
7. Press the button (no. 13.1 till 13.4, fig.1)
for the desired amount of coffee. The
indicator light in the button will now
illuminate and the machine will start
brewing the coffee.
8. When the coffee brewing process is
completed, the supply of hot water
stops and the indicator will go out.
9. A new brew of coffee can now be made
in the second container. Turn the
swivelarm above the second container
and repeat the above procedure.

OVERFLOW PROTECTION DEVICE

When the electro magnetic valve is opened
for more than 60 seconds, the running
programme will be inhibited.
The cause of the problem should be
removed. (Check if the sieve in the electro
magnetig valve is blocked, or whether the
water supply is blocked in any other way).
When the cause has been corrected the
system can be turned on again and the
program can be restarted by pressing one of
the push buttons (1 to 4). The program will
be restarted.
PLEASE NOTE!
Keep in mind that the programm will start
from the beginning. When the used coffee
container is already partly filled and the
same programm is started this might cause
the container to flow over.
4
When the fault occurs again or can not be
corrected, contact your service engineer or
your dealer.

MAKING TEA

Naturally you can use this equipment to
make tea. It is a simple operation, using a
tea filter and a tea attachment, which can
be supplied as accessories.
Use 4 grams of tea or one tea bag per litre
of water.
If the apparatus is regularly used to make
tea, the following two points have to be
taken into account:
1. A container used for making coffee
should not be used for making tea
because remains of coffee will
contaminate the tea. So reserve one
container for the making of tea.
2. Remains of tea combined with
atmospheric oxygen can affect the
lifespan of your tea container. So
always empty the container completely
after use. Remove the remains of tea
thoroughly using warm water and a
brush.
3. Use a tea-container (VHG-T) to
maintain a higher tea temperature.

MICROFINE FILTER

Instead of filter paper it is also possible to
use the microfine filter, which can be
ordered as an extra.
To obtain the best results with the microfine
filter, you must take the following points into
consideration:
1. After each coffee cycle rinse the filter
pan thoroughly to prevent a build-up of
coffee deposits.
2. Rinse the filter pan at the end of the day
or evening and wash it. The filter pan
with the microfine filter can be put in
the washing up machine.
3. Clean the filter pan with the microfine
filter once a month with "cleaner" (see
MAINTENANCE chapter on cleaning).
If you do not clean the filter pan as
described above the coffee will not taste as
good as it should (it will be too strong or
taste of stale coffee).
