FITTING OF A PLUG - UK AND
IRELAND ONLY
If the plug is not suitable for the socket outlets in your home,
it can be removed and replaced by a plug of the correct
type. If you remove the plug it must not be connected
to a 13 amp socket and the plug must be disposed of
immediately.
NOTE: If the terminals in the plug are not marked or if you
are unsure or in doubt about the installation of the plug
please contact a qualified electrician.
If a 13A 3-pin plug is fitted, it must be an ASTA approved
plug, conforming to BS1363 standard. Replacement fuses
must be ASTA BS1362 approved.
The wires of the mains lead are coloured in accordance with
the following code:
GREEN/YELLOW
-
BROWN
-
BLUE
-
The wire which is coloured GREEN/YELLOW must be
connected to the terminal in your plug which is marked with
an E or by the earth symbol ( ) or coloured GREEN or
GREEN /YELLOW.
TROUBLE
Unit does not turn on.
Status lights flashing.
Mist output low.
Water leaks from tank.
Crack in tank.
Film on tank.
EARTH
LIVE
NEUTRAL

TROUBLESHOOTING

PROBABLE CAUSE
Not plugged in.
Outlet not functioning.
Water tank empty.
Unit not reset after refill.
Scale build up on heating element.
Scale build up on heating element.
Humidifier is not warmed up yet.
Tank seal is missing.
Cap not tight enough.
Tank water is hot.
Hot water will cause the tank to pressurise.
Tank will crack if hit or dropped.
Mineral deposits.
The wire which is coloured BLUE must be connected to the
terminal in your plug which is marked with the letter N or
coloured BLACK.
The wire which is coloured BROWN must be connected to
the terminal in your plug which is marked with the letter L or
coloured RED.
Plug in unit.
Have outlet replaced by a licensed electrician.
Refill tank.
Follow Reset Procedure.
Remove scale from heating element.
Remove scale from heating element.
Allow the humidifier to warm up.
Remove tank cap and replace or reposition seal.
Tighten the cap.
Fill with cold water only.
Do not use your humidifier. A replacement tank
is required.
Clean/disinfect tank as instructed in Cleaning
and Maintenance instructions.
