Query Printer:
Collects advanced diagnostic data from the printer. If you experience a problem,
you may be asked to email the results of the query to Magicard Technical Support
for analysis
Ethernet:
Press the 'Read Current' button to read the printer's current IP
settings.
The printer's default IP address mode is 'Dynamic' (DHCP). If the
user's network cannot provide a dynamic address or uses static
addressing, the printer will use a default static address.
To alter the default static address:-
1.
Connect the printer via the USB or the Parallel port.
2.
Select 'Static' IP address mode on the left of the window.
3.
Enter the correct IP address, Subnet mask, and Default gateway
for your network.
4.
Press the 'Save to FLASH' button.
5.
Turn the printer OFF, and then back ON again.
The IP settings will now be changed.
Mag Encoding:
For use with Mag encoding models only.
Self Test Magnetic Encode button – enables the user to confirm the integrity
of the printer's mag encoding operation.
Direct Magnetic Encoding – the user can encode cards directly from this tool.
1.
Ensure mag stripe cards are loaded in the card hopper.
2.
Select the track(s) that you wish to encode and
enter the data to be encoded.
3.
Click on the 'Encode' button.
Mag Read – ISO data verification
This enables data verification of Magnetic Data
1.
Place an encoded magnetic card in the hopper
2.
Select which tracks to verify
3.
Click on "read". The card will be read.
4.
Click on "eject" once the data has been read,
