GAS FURNACE
This gas furnace in your XPLORER operate
on 1,.
P. Gas.
Your L. P. Gas,
11,000 B.T.U.
furnace
is located inside the
closet.
When your heater is new,
and you
light it for the
first time,
there will be some smoking as the paint is burned
off the heating chamber.
Don't be alarmed by this.
It will
burn off in a short time and stop smoking.
Open the vents
and windows and air out the smoke.
It is recommended that
you
light the unit when not in use,
and clear the paint off the
burner before you use the Motor Home on a trip where such
smoking would cause discomfort.
LIGHTING THE FURNACE
1.
Be sure all shut off valves in supply line are open.
2.
Turn gas control dial
(red dial)
to
"OFF",
open lighter
door and wait ten
(10)
minutes.
3.
Rotate dial to
"Pilot".
Depress dial while lighting pilot
burner.
This is eaily accomplished by using a wooden ty-pe
kitchen match,
and attempting to get the flame to the pilot
burner before the phosphorus is completely burned from the
tip of the match.
4.
Keep dial depressed for one
(1)
minute after pilot starts
burning,
and rotate dial to
"ON" position.

Close lighter door after lighting heater.
6.
Adjust temperature control dial to desired temperature.
7.
If pilot goes out,
open lighter door and wait ten
(io)
minutes before repeating lighting procedure.
If pilot
needs adjusting,
see Pilot adjustment below.
8.
For complete shut down, push in on dial and rotate to
"OFF"
position.
9.
If more heat is desired turn the temperature control to a
higher setting.
PILOT ADJUSTMENT
Remove pilot adjusting cap and adjust screw so the flame
completely envelopes the end
