WATER SYSTEM
Your XPLORER
Motor Home has a self-contained water system
which furnishes 28 gallons of water.
This plumbing system
complies with the American National Standards Institute speci
fications water tanks, piping and fixtures are approved with
disposal outlets properly trapped and vented.
The fresh water
tank is made of polyethylene plastic.
It is rustproof,
odor
less and corrosion proof to assure you 'of fresh tasting water.
The water tank is located inside your XPLORER under the double
bed.
This location protects the tank from freezing* and road
damage.
*(When the inside temperature is above 32° F.)
A 12
volt water pump is standard equipment and its master switch is
located directly above the stove on the "bulkhead".
TO FILL THE WATER TANK:
The locking water inlet filler is located on the right side
of your XPLORER Motor Home.
Unlock,
then unscrew cap and fill
the tank with a garden-type hose.
NOTE:
BE SURE THE DIAMETER OF THE HOSE IS SMALLER THAN
THE FILLER HOSE.
CAUTION:
Use very low water pressure when filling tank.
If too much pressure is used it is possible to force water
past the hose connection resulting in a water leak.
The filler
system on your XPLORER is NOT designed for high water pressure.
1.
Prepare a chlorine solution using one gallon of water and
1/4 cup of Chlorox or Purex household bleach
(5%
sodium
hypochlorite solution).
Pour one gallon of solution into
tank for each 15 gallons of tank capacity.
2.
Complete filling of tank with fresh water.
Open each faucet
and
drain cock until all air has been released from the
pipes and entire system is filled.
3.
Allow to stand for three hours.
4.
Drain and flush with potable fresh water.
5.
To remove any excessive chlorine taste or odor which might
remain, prepare a solution of one quart rinegar to five
gallons water and allow this solution to agitate in tank
for several days by vehicle motion.
6.
Drain tank and again flush with potable water.
(Tank drain under bed on road side of vehicle)
