3. Press
to set the lower
ENTER
limit frequency. The cursor
moves to upper frequency
field. If the entered frequency
Invalid Freq
is incorrect,
appears in the scanner's
display.
4. Enter your desired upper
frequency and press
5. Rotate
SQUELCH
and leave it set to a point just
after the rushing sound stops.
6. Press
to start
SRCH
searching. When the scanner
finds an active frequency, it
stops searching.

EROMATIC
You can set Zeromatic on or off by
pressing
then
FUNC
,and then
again to toggle the
0
Zeromatic setting. When this
feature is turned on,
briefly appears in the display, then
z
appears at the first digit of the
second line. When searching with
Zeromatic on, the scanner will
automatically tune to the correct
center frequency (or the step
increment closest to the correct
center frequency). When
searching with Zeromatic off, the
scanner will unmute faster on a
detected signal but the frequency
may not be exact. If the scanner
stops on a signal before it reaches
the correct center frequency, you
can step up or down to the correct
frequency using the
Zeromatic functions only in search
banks 2, 3, 4, 5 and 6.
