You may find in the box the line adaptor delivered separately from the line cord. In this case, please
first plug this line adaptor onto the line cord before connecting it to the line socket.

The customer must put the product on the charger for 24 hours minimum in all cases for the
first use.
-
Charging batteries for 24 hours
1. Connect the output plug of the base
adapter to the adapter socket on the
back of the base unit and the base
adapter to the wall main supply.
2. Connect the USB plug directly to your
PC's USB slot.
3. Connect the telephone line cord to
the phone socket on the back of the
base unit and to the wall phone
socket.
4. Each handset comes with a charger
and an adapter for the charger.
Connect the output plug of the
charger adapter to the adapter
socket on the back of the charger
and the charger adapter to the wall
main supply.
5. To remove the battery compartment,
unlock the battery door lock at the
bottom of the handset.
6. Place the 2 rechargeable NiMH AAA
batteries (included), observing their
polarities, into the battery
compartment on the handset.
7. Slide the battery door firmly into
place. Lock the battery door lock.
8. Place the handset on the charger and
let the batteries continuously charge
for 24 hours before using. The handset
may get warm during the initial
charge. This is normal.
9. Please note that handset may not turn
ON for up to 15 minutes if the batteries
are low.

Getting Ready
2.5.1
To start making Windows Live Messenger call,
1. Power up your base and your PC.
2. Connect your base's USB plug to a free USB port of your PC. Login to your Windows Live
Messenger account.
3. Once your handset is powered up, you will see WELCOME message on the display. Press
any key to enter the Country Menu.
4. From the Country Menu, press Up and Down
at. Press OK to confirm. You phone will reset after OK is pressed.
5. Your phone is ready for use. Press
list.
Note: The range of this handset is 300 m outdoor and 50 m indoor. An out of range warning will be
emitted and
will be flashing on the display if you move too far away from the base unit during a
call. You will need to move closer to the base unit or your call will be disconnected.
