System Functions
This chapter explains the functions of ZXG10-OB06 (V1.0), including RF,
baseband processing, signaling processing, O&M and Ultra-distance
coverage.
Overview
The ZXG10-OB06 (V1.0) is managed and controlled by BSC. It works with
BSC to achieve the following functions:
•
RF function: Implementing the radio connections between MS and BTS
•
Baseband processing function:
•
Voice coding
•
Transcoding and rate adaptation functions, including processing of
the GPRS part.
•
Connection control: Based on the BSC instructions controlling of the
following:
•
Access
•
Connection and disconnection of radio connections between MS and
BTS
•
Handover and paging of MS, including GPRS part
•
Operation and maintenance (O&M) function:
•
Providing an O&M agent for the BSC
•
Managing radio resources and radio network
•
Implementing the O&M functions for ZXG10-OB06 subsystems
