    General Information about the These operating instructions are intended to enable the operating instructions safe and proper handling and operation of the Combivac. Read these operating instructions carefully before using the appliance for the first time. Keep the operating instructions in a safe place and, if ap- propriate, pass the instructions on to the next owner of the Combivac.

    2006/95/EC “Low-Voltage Directive”. The appliance bears the CE mark on the rating plate. Intended use The Combivac 17-36 is suitable for commercial dry cleaning of hard floors and textile floor coverings, car- pets, upholstered furniture, mattresses, furniture, heating radiators and curtains.
  • Page 5 Safety WARNING! Danger of injury from vacuuming! ● Never vacuum articles of clothing, hair, eyes, fingers or other parts of the body. ● Nozzles and tube ends must never be brought close to the eyes or ears. ● Never use the appliance to vacuum human beings or an- imals.

    Safety Electric current ATTENTION! ● Incorrect voltage can destroy the appliance. Operate the appliance only if the voltage specified on the rating plate corresponds to the voltage in your household. ● The socket must be protected with a 16 A automatic circuit breaker.

    Never operate a defective appliance or an appliance with a defective power cord. There is a danger of electric shock. Before contacting Cleanstar, check to see if you can eli- minate the problem yourself. Refer to the chapter "Trou- bleshooting".

    Assembly Unpacking Unpack the appliance and check the contents for completeness. (see page 9 “Scope of delivery”) Sort the packaging material and recycle accordingly.     Assembly Guiding tube ● Fasten guiding tube (with nozzle holding device and crevice nozzle) to the canister with the enclosed hexa- gon socket screw incl. toothed lock washer, using an Allen wrench.     Operation / After use Electronic brush and suction power control After switching on the appliance and tilting the guiding tube, the GREEN power-on indicator [K] lights up. In case of extreme overloading of the brush motor (e.g. if the roller is blocked), the electronic overload de- vice is triggered: Overload indicator [M] lights up RED and GREEN goes out.

    Disposal Disposal When the appliance has reached the end of its service li- fe, in particular when malfunctions start occurring render the appliance unserviceable by pulling the mains plug out of the socket and cutting off the mains lead. Dispose of the appliance in accordance with the applica- ble environmental regulations for your country.
