Establishing a Connection Using the Online Wizard

The convenient Online Wizard guides you step by step through the initial confi guration.
Requirements
 Windows 8.1/8, Windows 7 or
Windows Vista must be installed on
your computer.
 The computer must have access to
the Internet.
 The SSID (network name) of the
wireless access point must be set
to "visible", and if the MAC address
fi lter is enabled, it must be switched
off for the initial confi guration. Both
are confi gured upon delivery of a
FRITZ!Box.

Establishing a Connection
1. Start a web browser.

2. Enter
in the
address fi eld of the browser.
3. Select the FRITZ!WLAN Repeater
DVB-C and load the Wizard for the
FRITZ!WLAN Repeater DVB-C to your
computer.
4. Start the Wizard and follow the
instructions on your screen.
Now the FRITZ!WLAN Repeater DVB-C is
connected by wireless LAN. Continue
reading at "Installing TV software" on
page 14.

Establishing a Connection Manually

You can establish the wireless connection to the wireless access point manually.
Requirements
 Your computer must have a LAN port.
 At the LAN port an IP address must
be obtained automatically (DHCP).
If necessary, please see the "Obtai-
ning an IP Address Automatically"
section in the FRITZ!WLAN Repeater
DVB-C manual.
Establishing a Connection
1. Connect your computer with the
FRITZ!WLAN Repeater DVB-C using
the LAN cable included in the
package.
2. Open the browser on your computer
and enter http://fritz.repeater, or
the IP address assigned by your
Internet router, in the address fi eld.
3. The FRITZ!WLAN Repeater DVB-C
Wizard appears and guides you
through the remaining confi guration
steps.
Now the FRITZ!WLAN Repeater DVB-C is
connected by wireless LAN. Continue
reading at "Installing TV software" on
page 14.
