Audi recommends only performing certain Info-
tainment system functions, such as entering a
destination, when the vehicle is stationary. Al-
ways be prepared to stop operating t he Infotain-
ment system in the interest of you r safety a nd
the safety of other road users.

Only use the Infotainment syst em whe n traf-
fic cond itions permit and always in a way that
allows you to ma intain complete control over
your vehicle.
Introduction
The Multi Media Interface, or MMI for short,
combines various systems for communication,
navigation" and entertainment in your Audi. You
can operate the MMI using the MMI control pan-
el, the multifunction steering wheel or the voice
recognition system".

When t he system is switched on, the last menu
that was selected is displayed and the last audio
source that was selected beg ins playing.
- Switching off manually: press and hold the
On/Off knob @ until the MMI switches off. If
the MMI has been switched off manually, it
does
not
swit ch on again automatically the
next time the ignition is switched on.
Additional On/Off knob functions:
- Adjusting t he volume
: turn the On/Off knob @

- Muting (mute) : briefly press the On/Off knob.
- Selecting the previous/next function (for
ex-
ample, a radio station /track): briefly press the
On/ Off knob toward t he left l<l<l or rig ht
t>l>I.
- Fast forwarding/rewinding (for example,
tracks) : press t he On/Off kno b longer toward
the rig ht t>l>I or left l<l<l.

WARNING

Adjust the volume of t he a udio syst em so that
signals from outside the vehicle, such as po-
lice and fire sirens, can be heard easily at all
t imes.
Tips
The MMI switches off automat ically if t he e n-
gine is not running and the battery is low.
