Entering a destination
Free text search
Applies t o: vehi cles with navigat ion syst em
You can quickly and easily search destinations
using the free text search and transfer them to
route guidance.
Using t he MMI touch control pad, yo u can enter
the data fo r a navigat ion destination in any order
all at once (for example, monument Washing-
ton). Likewise, you can search fo r points of inter-
est, contacts, previous destinations or favorites
to navigate to the desired address.

tem display.
- Select and confirm a destination from the re-
su lts list.
- Select and confirm Start route guidance.
The route is displayed as an overview in the ma p
and the route guidance is already active.
Narrowing the search area
- Select: right control button >
Country/ State
selection.
All countries/states are selected at the factory
for the free text search . Using the Country/State
selection, you can deselect the irre leva nt coun-
tries/states t o increase t he sea rch speed and nar-
row t he res ults list.

- The MMI input suggestions depend on the
last navigated destinations.

destinations list.

Delete last destinations
- Select and confirm a previous destination from
the list .
- Select and confirm : right control button > De·
lete.
- Select and confirm Delete this last destination
or Delete all last destinations.
The selected destination or all last destinations
is/are deleted and are no longer displayed in the
free text search .
