Chapter 6. Installing new features

Attention:
performing any service or installation procedures.
The SAN768B can be upgraded with any of the following hot-pluggable features
while the SAN768B is operational. Refer to the individual feature installation
instructions for any possible exceptions.
Use this chapter as a starting point when installing new features on an existing
SAN768B. Installation instructions link from here to the appropriate sections.

These features can be installed while the SAN768B is operational.
Attention:
damaging the port blades or chassis:
v Wear a grounded ESD strap when handling a port blade.
v Carefully remove the protective strip (if any) covering the blade connectors
v Do not force the port blade installation. If the port blade does not slide in easily,
