Electrical Junction Box
Conduit from Right Cooktop Assembly

B. Nut – UL strain relief

NOTE: Illustration shown has been disassembled for reference.
9. Remove the nut from the UL strain relief and conduit
assembly.
10. Install the wires and UL strain relief into the bottom hole
in the right side of the electrical junction box. Install the
UL strain relief nut over the wires and onto the UL strain
relief inside the electrical box and tighten. (Ensure the UL
strain relief screw is positioned so that it is accessible for
tightening, if required).
11. Loosen the 3 terminal screws (upper empty terminals) in
the right end of the horizontal terminal block. (See O in
the "Electrical Junction Box" section.)

12. Install the black wire to the right terminal location marked
"BK." Tighten the terminal screw. (See O in the "Electrical
Junction Box" section.)
13. Install the red wire to the right terminal location marked "RE."
Tighten the terminal screw. (See O in the "Electrical Junction
Box" section.)
14. Install the yellow-green wire to the right terminal location
marked with the ground symbol. Tighten the terminal screw.
(See O in the "Electrical Junction Box" section.)
15. Install the electrical connection box cover and tighten the
2 screws.
Electrical Connections - Downdraft Cooktop
to Home Power Supply
1. Disconnect power.
2. Remove home power supply junction box cover, if present.
3. Remove the knockout from the home power supply junction
box and install a UL listed or CSA approved strain relief.
4. Install the wires and conduit through the UL strain relief into
the home power supply junction box.
5. Tighten the strain relief screw(s) to secure the conduit and
wires to the home power supply junction box.
6. See the "Electrical Connection Options" chart to complete
installation for your type of electrical connection.
