If the measuring cylinder is empty:
Note
Since the oil gradually loses its moisture-ab-
sorbing properties, it should be changed after
about 20 hours of operation. Moisture-laden oil.
diminishes dry- running capacity of the AC sys-
tem.
Always keep vacuum pump oil in a sealed con-
tainer.
Check that all valves are closed. Invert the refri-
gerant cylinder on the back of the filling station
and secure it. Do not let it rest on the valve. Som
types of cylinderwill require a special connector.
Connect the yell'Ow hose between valve Eand the
refrigerant cylinder. Do not open the valve on the
cylinder.
Charging the measuring cylinder
If the measuring cylinder is not completely
empty, refer to page 854-41.
Prior to storage
To reduce the risk of leakage, close the input and
outl.et valves on the measuring cylinder and the
valve on the refrigerant cylinder.
Warning
Never expose the refrigerant cylinder and
measuring cylinder to high temperatures
+50°C (122°F) or above-direct sunlight or
the like.
Danger of explosion
Start the vacuum pump with the ballast valve
open. Open valves A, 8, E and F.
Avacuum will now be raised in the measuring cy-
linder and the hose as far as the valve on the re-
frigerant cylinder.
