NOTE:
The modem module spare part kit does not include a modem module cable. The modem
module cable is included in the Cable Kit. See

Before removing the modem module, follow these steps:
1.
Shut down the computer.
2.
Disconnect all external devices connected to the computer.
3.
Disconnect the power from the computer by first unplugging the power cord from the AC outlet
and then unplugging the AC adapter from the computer.

Remove the following components:

Switch cover (see

DVD-ROM drive (see

Speakers (see

Palm rest (see
f.
Top cover (see
Remove the modem module:
1.
Position the computer right-side up with the front toward you.
2.
Remove the two PM2.5×5.0 screws (1) that secure the modem module to the system board.
3.
Lift the modem module (2) straight up to disconnect it from the system board.
4.
Disconnect the modem cable (3) from the modem module.
