VMUPG Option Upgrades
Install the Audio Analog and Audio Processor Circuit Board Assemblies.
WARNING. Dangerous shock hazards may be exposed when the measurement set
covers are removed. Before proceeding, ensure that both power switches are in
the off position (see Figures 1 and 2), and then disconnect the measurement set
from the power source.
Cabinet Panel. Remove the left side cabinet panel (see Figure 14).
1. Remove the screws at the rear edge of the left side cover panel.
2. Remove the left side cover panel by sliding it carefully to the rear of the
measurement set and out of the grooves in the chassis in the same manner as
shown in Figure 1 on page 13 for the top cover panel.
3. Set the cover panel aside.
Audio Analog and Audio Processor Boards
Processor Circuit Board Assemblies
1. Remove the upper two blank panels from the measurement set rear panel.
2. Remove the vertical circuit board retainer bar as shown in Figure 1 on
page 13.
3. Install the Audio Analog circuit board in the top slot and the Audio
Processor circuit board in the next slot as shown in Figure 1 on page 13.
4. Align the circuit board connector pins with the main interconnection board
connector and press firmly to seat the circuit board connectors.
5. Plug in the short ribbon cable, provided in the kit, to interconnect the two
circuit boards.
6. Install the circuit board retaining screws.
