Displaying QoS Information

Configuring the Egress Expedite Queue

You can ensure that certain packets have priority over all others by queuing them in the egress expedite
queue.
Beginning in privileged EXEC mode, follow these steps to enable the egress expedite queue. This
procedure is optional.

priority-queue out
Step 5

show running-config
Step 7
copy running-config startup-config
To disable the egress expedite queue, use the no priority-queue out interface configuration command.
Displaying QoS Information
To display QoS information, use one or more of the privileged EXEC commands in
Table 25-3
Commands for Displaying Standard QoS Information

show mls qos
show mls qos interface [interface-id] [buffers |queueing
| statistics]
show mls qos queue-set [qset-id]

Purpose
Enter global configuration mode.
Enable QoS on a switch.
Specify the egress port, and enter interface configuration mode.
Enable the egress expedite queue, which is disabled by default.
Return to privileged EXEC mode.
Verify your entries.
(Optional) Save your entries in the configuration file.
Purpose
Display global QoS configuration information.
Display QoS information at the port level, including the buffer
allocation, the queueing strategy, and the ingress and egress
statistics.
Display QoS settings for the egress queues.
