e. If the meter does not indicate continuity the interior wiring harness should be
replaced.
B. Charge racks with permanently wired input power should be disconnected from their
input source.
1. Place a multimeter into the continuity position.
2. Place one lead on the positive power input lead (red stripe).
3. Place the other lead onto the output charge pin (located on the interior wall) which is
closest to you.
4. The meter should indicate continuity.
5. Follow the same procedure to test the negative lead (black) and the other charge pin.
6. If the meter does not indicate continuity the wiring harness will need to be replaced.
Repairing The Charge Rack
Both versions of the charge rack
disassemble the same way.
charge rack is held together by two
push retainers located on the bottom
of the rack.
1. Use a pointed tool to remove
the push retainers from their
mounting posts.
2. Insert the tool (as shown in the
illustration) and pry the push
retainers up and off of their
mounting posts.
3. Remove the existing wiring
harness. Note : Replace
the direct wire model with
P/N: 450031 and use P/N:
450029 for the standard
model.
4. Place the charge connector
in the opening in the upper
charge rack housing and
slide the assembly in place.
5. Place the charge pin
assembly in the notches on
the rear wall of the charge
pin
opening.
Note:
assembly
is keyed and will only install
one
way.
When
assembly
is properly installed the
positive (white striped) lead
is closest to the charge
connector.
