Enabling TCP/IP Download

Any function accomplished through the USB port can ALSO be performed over Ethernet however; you must
ensure that a Compact Flash is installed whenever Firmware Updates are performed. A Firmware Update
occurs whenever the unit is updated with a newer version of MonicoView II software than what it was
originally programmed with. Keep in mind that you must first use the USB connection to set the Gateway
to the required IP parameters as described in section 5.4, Setting the IP Address. You must also ensure
that Remote Update is enabled and that the Port number is set to 789 as shown in Figure 11. Once the
above mentioned has been performed over USB, you may perform database updates and port setting
changes remotely over a LAN by setting your connection type to "TCP/IP" from <Link><Options>.
