NOTE
The vehicle has a deadlock function, which prevents activating the starter if
idle is not set.
NOTE
The engine of the XR/Alterra models is started with the ignition key (refer to
section 4.1.2).

Thumb throttle

Increasing engine speed:
1.
Push thumb throttle (1) towards the handlebar.
Reducing engine speed:
1.
Let thumb throttle (1) slide back.
ATTENTION
Before driving, check if the thumb throttle (1) has a clearance of 4 mm. If the
clearance is bigger or smaller than 4 mm, have the clearance adjusted at an
authorised Arctic Cat specialist repair shop.
ATTENTION
Before driving, check the thumb
throttle stop screw (2) for tight-
ness. If the thumb throttle stop
screw (2) is loose, have the error
rectified at an authorised
Arctic Cat specialist repair shop.
