    Certification • This child restraint system conforms to all applicable Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standards. • This restraint is certified for use in Motor Vehicles and Aircraft. Child Size Limitations and Checklist for Proper Use WARNING • Use only in a Rear-Facing position when using this car seat with an infant less than one year old and weighing less than 22 lb (10 kg).

    American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) Recommendation The AAP advises, and some states require, parents to keep their toddlers in Rear-Facing car seats until age 2, or until they reach the maximum height and weight for their seat. When Using This Car Seat in Rear-Facing Mode P All infants less than one year old or 22 lb (10 kg) must be Rear-Facing.

    Vehicle Information Vehicle Child Restraint Anchorage System (LATCH) • LATCH stands for Lower Anchors and Tethers for Children. This term refers to the anchors built into a vehicle for attaching child restraints and consists of two lower anchors at the crease between the vehicle seat back and vehicle seat cushion and a top tether anchor behind the vehicle seat as shown in Figure 5.
