6.1 Checking electrolyte gel
Check the electrolyte gel in the storage cap regularly for
contamination and ensure it is filled to the correct level.
Replace storage cap if necessary.
6.2 Cleaning housing/TopSafe
Clean housing with a damp cloth (soap water) if dirty. Do not
use abrasive cleaning agents or solutions!
TopSafe can also be cleaned in the dishwasher.
6.3 Changing the module
The instrument must be newly calibrated if a module is
changed (See 5.4 Calibrating instrument, P. 11)!
Instrument must be switched off. Plug contacts in the instrument
should not be touched!
1 Unscrew the screws at the back of the instrument.
2 Remove module and attach new module.
There must be rubber sealing rings available for the screws.
Check that the sealing rings are in their correct position.
3 Tighten screws.
6.4 Changing battery
1 Open battery compartment at the back of the instrument.
2 Remove spent button cell and insert new button cell (Type
CR2032, 3V). The (+) symbol should be visible.
3 Close the battery compartment.
