On-Screen Display Pushbuttons
There shall be three side panel buttons, a
button, for controlling the On Screen Display (OSD) which provides a means of adjusting
projector parameters.
Standby Function
This button is used to instantly put the projector into a "standing by" sequence. When
pressed, first the projector switches from the displayed video to the "Going to Standby"
information screen. Then, after approximately a 10-second delay, the lamp shuts off and
the color wheel stops. The fans continue to operate to cool the lamp and projector, and then
they also shut off when the internal temperature reaches a comfortable temperature. The
electronics remains powered to expeditea restart. The Standby button LED flashes for
approximately 45 seconds to indicate the projector cannot be restarted during this time.
When the Standby LED stops flashing, the button can then be pressed so the lamp, color
wheel and fans all restart to restore full functionality.
Resync Button
This button is to the right of the OSD control buttons. When it is pressed, the micro-
controller shall enter a routine to remeasure the sync frequencies, optimize the clock, clock
phase and reset the size and centering of the image on the screen. The settings realized by
this function shall override any previous user settings for this mode. These shall then be
overridden by any user adjustments subsequently made through the OSD, until the next time
this button may be pressed for this mode.
