Before Setting Oven Controls

Oven Vent Location
The oven vent is located below the control panel
When the oven is on, warm air passes through this vent. This
venting is necessary for proper air circulation in the oven and
good baking results. Do not block oven vent. Steam or moisture
may appear near the oven vent. This is normal.

Protective Liners — Do not use aluminum foil to
line the oven bottom. Only use aluminum foil as recommended
in this manual. Improper installation of these liners may result in
risk of electric shock, or fire.
Do not line the oven walls, racks, bottom, or any
other parts of the range with aluminum foil. Doing so will alter
heat distribution, produce poor baking results, and may cause
permanent damage to the oven interior. During self clean
temperatures the oven will be hot enough to melt foil.
Always use pot holders or oven mitts when using
the oven. When cooking, the oven interior, exterior, and oven
racks will become very hot which can cause burns.
Important: Remove all racks and accessories from the oven
before starting a cleaning cycle.
