Important Product Information

Handset, USIM Card, Internal Battery,
AC Charger, Peripheral Equipment
・Do not apply excessive force to handset during use. Handset
should not be placed in a stuffed bag, and it should not
be pressed under a heavy object. Sitting on handset in
your pocket might damage Display or internal circuit board
resulting in a malfunction.
Keeping an external device connected to External Device
Port or Stereo Earphone Jack might damage connector
resulting in a malfunction. Such damage and malfunction are
not covered by the warranty, even if there is no external
damage.
・For the waterproof performance (equivalent to IPX7) of
handset, be sure to firmly insert USIM Card/SD Card Tray.
However, this does not guarantee the performance in every
usage condition. Do not allow water to intrude into handset,
or get AC Charger and optional accessories wet. Do not
insert/remove USIM Card/SD Card Tray in rain or with
any water droplets. The intrusion of water might cause
corrosion inside handset.
If the result of investigation determines that the fault is
caused by any of these exposures to water, warranty does
not cover repair.
・Do not use in extremely hot, cold or humid places.
(Use within an ambient temperature range of 5℃ to 35℃
and humidity range of 35% to 85%. However, handset and
USIM Card inserted in handset may be used temporarily for a
range from 36℃ to 40℃.)
・Do not use in places subject to excessive dust or vibration.
Doing so might cause a fault.
・Occasionally, clean External Device Port with a dry cotton
swab, etc. Soiled connectors might cause poor connection.
When cleaning External Device Port, do not exert strong
force to prevent deformation.
・Clean handset with a soft dry cloth (such as an eyeglass
cleaning cloth).
- Forceful rubbing with a dry cloth may scratch Display.
- Display may be stained if splashed liquid or smears are
left on the surface.
- Wiping handset using alcohol, thinner, benzene, detergent,
glass cleaner, etc. might erase the printing on the outer
casing or cause discoloration.
・Handset may become warm while charging or during other
operations, depending on usage, but this is not abnormal.
・Do not use outside when thunder is audible. Doing so may
attract lighting and cause electric shock.
・Do not expose Camera lens to direct sunlight for an
extended period. Doing so might cause a fault.
・Do not use or store in extremely hot, cold places, or in
direct sunlight.
Handset
・Battery is built into handset and cannot be replaced by the
customer. Battery replacement is available at SoftBank shop
at a charge. Contact a SoftBank shop or
・Do not forcefully press, tap or intentionally subject Display
to strong impact. Doing so might cause scratching or
damage.
・Do not forcefully press your fingernails, sharp objects or
hard objects against keys or Display surface. Doing so might
cause scratching or damage.
・Touchscreen is designed to be Touched lightly by your
fingers. Do not exert too much pressure with your fingers
or press sharp-pointed objects (fingernails, ballpoint pens,
pins, etc.) against it.
・Never use a modified handset. Use of a modified device
violates the Radio Law and Telecommunications Business
Law.
Handset has acquired the certification of conformity with
technical regulations for the specified radio station based
on the Radio Law and the technical standards conformity
approval for radio equipment based on Telecommunications
Business Law, etc., and the "Technical Conformity Mark
is viewable on your handset as a certificate.

Legal information
If handset is disassembled and internal components are
modified, the certification of conformity with technical
regulations becomes invalid. Never use handset without
a valid certification. Doing so violates the Radio Law and
Telecommunications Business Law.
・Never place handset near magnetic data or any magnetic
items. The stored data in cash cards, credit cards, etc. may
be erased and cause handset to malfunction.
・Note that covering Proximity Light Sensor with your finger,
or putting a sticker over Proximity Light Sensor may hinder
sensor from responding to ambient light and functioning
properly.
・Do not put a sticker etc. on Proximity Light Sensor. Doing
so may cause sensor to malfunction and cause Display to
remain off when a call is arriving or while in a call and
operation may not be possible.
