Locking Screen

Display is locked after a set period of inactivity.
Alternatively, Press for manual screen lock. This
saves battery power and prevents accidental Touchscreen
operation.
Unlocking Screen
When screen is locked,
Lock Screen opens.
Flick up
Screen is unlocked.
・The method for unlocking the screen can be changed. See
"Security Settings" for the unlock method.
・ If you have authenticated your fingerprint, Touch
with authentication finger to unlock screen.
Other Display Lighting Methods
Double-Tap Display to light up. For details, see
Gestures & Buttons Settings."

Updating Software

Check whether updates are required via the Internet, and
update as required.
Saved data may be lost depending on condition of handset
(malfunctioning, damaged, water seepage, etc.). It is
recommended that you back up important data before
updating software. The company is not responsible for
damages from loss of data.
During Update
Handset cannot be used until software is updated. It may
take time to update software.
Signal during Update
Operate handset where signal reception is good and
without changing location. Also operate with adequate
battery charge. Signal becoming weak or Battery becoming
low during an update may cause an update failure. An
update failure may disable handset.
If Using Other Functions
Other functions cannot be operated during a software
update.
Applications
New applications may be added/updated, or application
names, icons, operation methods, screen displaying, etc.
may be changed.
Updating Software
At time of purchase, handset is set to update automatically
when required. To update software manually, operate as
"Display,
