RICE
Always use recommended ratios in the Rice Cooking Chart on page 18.
Add rice and water to the vessel in the quantities recommended in the rice chart.

Cover with lid.
Turn selector bezel to RICE. The LCD screen displays

"RICE" and flashes "1" and "2."
Turn the knob to the left or right to select Setting 1 for white

rice or Setting 2 for brown rice. Release the knob once the
setting is selected. It will flash three times before becoming
solid.
The LCD screen will display "00:00" and the START/STOP

button will start to flash.
Press the START/STOP button to start the cooking cycle.

A chime will sound and the START/STOP button will stay
illuminated.
The timer will count up by minutes.

Once the cycle is complete, a long chime will sound. The

unit will then switch to the "WARM" heat setting and the
timer will count up.
Press the START/STOP button at any time during cooking to

turn off the unit.
NOTE: If the START/STOP button is not pressed during the cooking cycle or "WARM"
setting, the unit will stay on for a maximum of 6 hours and then will turn off automatically.
