When pressing on button it counts down then goes off

The Marsden MSS-I-400 scale turns off when the PRINT/ON/OFF button is pressed and held for three seconds. This is the standard procedure to power off the scale. Additionally, if the scale is inactive for 150 minutes or more, it will automatically power off to save battery power.

    Before using the Scale  The scale’s indicator, the I-400 uses power from the 6V4Ah rechargeable battery, or can be powered from the mains lead which is hard wired into the indicator.  Once switched on, the scale is only ready to use once the display shows 0.000. Levelling the Scale The mild steel base is fitted with four adjustable levelling feet.

    Operation: Advanced Functions Hold Function With the scale switched on, add an item to the base. Press HOLD once. The scale will lock onto and stabilise the weight reading for the item. The reading will remain displayed after the item is removed. Press HOLD again to disable the Hold function and return the scale to 0.000.
