unauthorised use and jolts.

3. Calibrate the near-end-of-paper sensor as described in the section

Loading the receipt paper roll

The following procedures are necessary when loading the roll of receipt paper for the first time, and
subsequently whenever it is replaced. The operator is notified of the need to replace the paper roll by the
appearance of one of the following messages on the touch screen:
Near-end-of-paper – Notifies that the roll of thermal paper is almost finished. In this condition the printer
continues to function normally, until the thermal paper is completely finished. The timing of this notification can
be modified following the instructions in the section "Adjusting the near-end-of-paper sensor".
End-of-paper (receipt) - Notifies that the roll of thermal paper is completely finished. In this condition the printer
blocks.
The "Near-End-of- Paper" condition may be indicated on the paper by the appearance of
a red stripe. To avoid printer blockages or malfunctioning it is important to use paper rolls
with coloured edges which indicate when the roll is nearly finished, and with the paper
wound around the core without the use of glue and/or tied.
1. Turn off the cash register.
2. Unlatch the paper compartment cover and lift it in the direction shown by the arrow.
