SUPPLEMENT 4
MODEL 172S NAVIII
WINTERIZATION KIT
GENERAL
The winterization kit consists of two cover plates (with placards)
which attach to the air intakes in the cowling nose cap and a
placard silk screened on the instrument panel. This equipment
should be installed for operations in temperatures consistently
below 20°F (-7°C).
LIMITATIONS
The following information must be presented in the form of placards
when the airplane is equipped with a winterization kit.
1.
On each nose cap cover plate:
REMOVE WHEN O.A.T. EXCEEDS +20°F.
2.
On the instrument panel below the Primary Flight Display
(PFD):
WINTERIZATION KIT MUST BE REMOVED WHEN OUTSIDE
AIR TEMPERATURE IS ABOVE 20°F.
EMERGENCY PROCEDURES
There is no change to the airplane emergency procedures when the
winterization kit is i n s t a l l e d . " " ' "
NORMAL PROCEDURES
There is no change to the airplane normal procedures when the
winterization kit is installed.
PERFORMANCE
There is no change to the airplane performance when the
winterization kit is installed.
