Memory

There are two kinds of memory:
Main Board/IPSM 256MB RAM X 1GB Flash
Secure Digital (SD) Card
Each terminal has an SD memory interface for additional application and data storage. You can
order memory cards to increase memory. Each terminal contains an access door on the side
panel that makes the SD memory interface user-accessible; see
on page
The Memory system setting displays capacity and usage statistics for both RAM (volatile) and IPSM/
Storage Card (non-volatile) memory. Access this setting whenever you receive system messages about
memory.
There are three tabs: Main, Storage Card, and Running Programs.
Main Tab This tab displays the usage statistics of the 64MB of on-board, volatile RAM memory.
Field Description
Columns Storage: The part of RAM memory used for storing programs and
program data.
Program: The part of RAM memory used to run programs.
Total Displays the current MB of memory allocated for Storage and Program
use.
In use Displays the total MB of that allocated memory being used in Storage and
Program memory functions.
Free Displays the total MB of memory available for Storage and Programs use.
