UNPACKING AND CHECKING CONTENTS Your Baileigh machine is shipped complete. Separate all parts from the packing material and check each item carefully. Make certain all items are accounted for before discarding any packing material. WARNING: SUFFOCATION HAZARD! Immediately discard any plastic bags and packing materials to eliminate choking and suffocation hazards to children and animals.
TRANSPORTING AND LIFTING IMPORTANT: Lifting and carrying operations should be carried out by skilled workers, such as a truck operator, crane operator, etc. If a crane is used to lift the machine, attach the lifting chain carefully, making sure the machine is well balanced. Follow these guidelines when lifting with truck or trolley: •...
Page 18
• Remove scrap and waste materials regularly, and make sure the work area is free from obstructing objects. • It is important to maintain free area around the machine, which is required for the working place. If any long material is machined, it is necessary to have a sufficient room in front of the machine as well behind it in the places of material input and output.
ASSEMBLY AND SET UP WARNING: For your own safety, DO NOT connect the machine to the power source until the machine is completely assembled and you read and understand the entire instruction manual. 1. Remove the shipping brace. 2. Pull the switch out of the saw cabinet and remove the shipping brace.
Page 22
5. Install and hand tighten the front rail tube and rear rail onto the main saw table and extension table (optional) if equipped. 6. Position the top edge of rear rail flush with the lowest edge of both T-bolts, so the miter gauge will slide smoothly when installed later.
Page 23
Note: It is permissible for the back of the fence to pivot outward not more than 1/64" (0.4mm) from being parallel to the blade. This creates a slightly larger opening between the fence and the blade, at the rear of the blade, to reduce the risk of workpiece binding or burning as it is fed through the cut.
Page 24
WARNING: Blades are dangerously sharp. Use extreme caution when working with or around the blade. Wear proper safety protection such as heavy gloves. 12. Install the blade: A Remove blade guard assembly & table insert. B Raise the arbor all the way up and set the blade angle at 0º.
Page 25
14. Slide the blade guard spreader all the way down into the block, and then rotate the knurled knob so it disengages the bracket and the locking pin engages the hole in the center of the spreader. 15. Give the spreader an upward tug to verify that it is locked the blade guard.

Dust collection It is recommended that you use a dust collector (not included) when using this machine. The minimum air flow requirements for this machine are listed below. The machine comes with a 4” dust port located on the side of the machine. The dust extraction equipment is to be switched on before commencing machining.
ELECTRICAL CAUTION: HAVE ELECTRICAL UTILITIES CONNECTED TO MACHINE BY A CERTIFIED ELECTRICIAN! Check if the available power supply is the same as listed on the machine nameplate. WARNING: Make sure the grounding wire (green) is properly connected to avoid electric shock. DO NOT switch the position of the green grounding wire if any electrical plug wires are switched during hookup.
• Improper connection of the equipment-grounding conductor can result in risk of electric shock. The conductor with insulation having an outer surface that is green with or without yellow stripes is the equipment-grounding conductor. If repair or replacement of the electric cord or plug is necessary, do not connect the equipment-grounding conductor to a live terminal.
ADJUSTMENT WARNING: Make sure the electrical disconnect is OFF before working on the machine. Always follow proper safety precautions when working on or around any machinery. Before operation, the machine should be carefully adjusted for best performance. Blade Raising and Tilting 1.
5. The lock lever pressure can be adjusted by loosening the front lock nuts (B) and adjusting the set screws (C) the same amount. Make sure the fence remains parallel with the table T-slot. Retighten lock nuts. 6. To set the fence perpendicular to the table, place a square on the table and against the side of the fence, loosen the top lock nuts (D) and adjust the setscrews (E) until the fence is...
Adjusting 45 and 90 Degree Positive Stops The blade tilting mechanism of your saw is equipped with a positive stop at 45 and 90 degrees. To check and adjust these positive stops: 1. Disconnect and lockout power to the saw. 2.
Aligning Table T-slot Parallel with Blade WARNING: Blades are dangerously sharp. Use extreme caution when working with or around the blade. Wear proper safety protection such as heavy gloves. 1. Disconnect and lockout power to the saw. 2. The table T-slot must be aligned parallel with the blade.
OPERATION Safety Precautions Before Operations The operation of power tools involves a certain amount of hazard for the operator. Before attempting regular work we recommend you get the feel of operations using scrap lumber to check settings. Read entire instructions before you start to cut workpiece. Always pay attention to safety precautions to avoid personal injury.
Operation Plain sawing includes ripping and crosscutting, plus a few other standard operations of a fundamental nature. • As with all power tools there is a certain amount of hazard involved with the operation and use of the saw. • Using the saw with the respect and caution demanded as far as safety precautions are concerned will considerably lessen the possibility of personal injury.
Ripping Ripping is the operation of making a lengthwise cut through a board. • The rip fence is used to position and guide the workstock. • One edge of the workstock rides against the rip fence while the flat side of the board rest on the table.
MAINTENANCE WARNING: Make sure the electrical disconnect is OFF before working on the machine. Maintenance should be performed on a regular basis following proper safety precautions. This table saw requires very little maintenance other than minor lubrication and cleaning. The following sections detail what will need to be done in order to assure continued operation of your saw.
Cleaning Cleaning the Model is relatively easy. Vacuum excess wood chips and sawdust, and wipe off the remaining dust with a dry cloth. If any resin has built up, use a resin dissolving cleaner to remove it. After cleaning, treat all unpainted cast iron and steel with a non-staining lubricant. Occasionally it will become necessary to clean the internal parts with more than a vacuum.
TROUBLESHOOTING WARNING: Disconnect machine from the power source before attempting any troubleshooting PROBLEM SOLUTION SAW WILL NOT START 1. Saw not plugged in. 1. Plug in saw. 2. Fuse blown or circuit breaker tripped. 2. Replace fuse or reset circuit breaker. 3.
Page 40
PROBLEM SOLUTION BLADE DOES NOT COME UP TO SPEED 1. Extension cord too light or too long. 1. Replace with adequate size extension cord. 2. Low house current. 2. Contact your electric company. 3. Motor not wired for correct voltage. 3.

7. If you have long fence rails that will extend beyond the t-slots of the router table, you will have to modify the top of the rails. This entails making a cut-out that matches or exceeds the dimensions of the router table t- slot.
Page 66
11. Place the fence assembly over the studs of the t-slot bars, then secure the fence in place by threading the knurled handles onto the studs. Note: The two fence board shims provided with your router table can be placed between the outfeed fence board (left) and the fence to offset the outfeed fence board for full edge routing.
13. Slide the attached square nut on the guard bracket into the top fence t-slot, center it with the dust hood and dust port, then tighten the flat head cap screw to secure it in place. 14. Attach the plastic router guard to the guard bracket with the (2) star knob bolts.
3. Slide the router base onto the three hold-down clamps, position them so that they secure the router bit in the center of the table opening, and then tighten the hold-down knobs and adjustment bolts to secure the router in place (Fig 13). 4.
