Declaration –
The JK Corporate Group
The JK Corporate Group is subject to the strict regulations of EC Directive
761/2001 and the standard EN ISO 14001:2004, and undergoes regular in-
ternal and external environment audits performed by trained auditors.
2.11.2
Environmental regulations –
disposal of lamps and batteries
Collagen lamps contain fluorescent materials and other waste products con-
taining mercury. Batteries contain heavy metal compounds.
Within the European Union the national implementation of the Waste Frame-
work Directive 75/442/EWG (in Germany the Closed Substance Cycle Waste
Management Act (KrWAbgG)) applies. According to the national waste dispo-
sal laws and in accordance with the municipal waste regulations, proof must
be provided of the proper disposal of lamps and batteries.
Your local sales agency will be happy to assist you with the disposal of lamps
and batteries.
Report the number of lamps and batteries to your local agency by te-
lephone or in writing.
The agency will then provide you with the name of a free delivery point for
your lamps or will take care, in conjunction with a disposal company, of the
collection and proper disposal of the lamps. This service is available for a fee.
Outside Germany, the respective national legislation applies. Please contact
your local sales agency.
