b.
Remove the No. 10-32 s c r e w s (A) with resilient
washers that hold the instrument in the cabinet. T h e s e
screws are on the s i d e s of the instrument (one per
side) just above the handle pivot.
c. Lift the instrument out of the cabinet and s e t i t
t o one side.
d. From the inside of the cabinet, remove the two
pivot screws.
e. Lift the cabinet off the handle-and-cover assem-
bly.
f.
In place of the pivot screws, insert the two
%-
inch screws (B) supplied.
P l a c e the lockwasher (C)
and nut
(H)
on e a c h screw and secure.
g. Remove the eyelet from foot

in the cabinet
(the foot farthest from the s i d e cutout).
h. Remove the rubber foot and i n s t a l l the supplied
grommet (P/N 4 1 10-0500).

Set the cabinet t o one side.

Remove the battery tube (P/N 1650-1261) from
the instrument by following the instructions on the
tube.

Twist the lead-set leads together and feed the
ilnconnected e n d s through the grommet
(Z)
in the cabi-
net from the outside to the inside.
1. Solder the white lead of the lead s e t ( P / N 1650-
0280) t o S103, 204R (Figure 6-9).
Solder the black
lead t o S102, 204R.
m. Install the instrument in its cabinet. Install and
tighten the two No. 10-32 s c r e w s (A)removed in s t e p b.
n. Loosen nut K on both s i d e s of the opening in
the rack panel and s l i d e plate L toward the outside of
the panel.
Tighten nut K slightly s o that L won't
slide
.
o. Put a large flatwasher (E) over the projecting
screws on each s i d e of the instrument.
p. Set the back of the instrument on a flat surface
(face upward).
Turn the instrument s o that i t is right
side u p a s you look a t it.
q. Lower the adaptor panel over the instrument
being sure that the battery mounting brackets are on
the right-hand side.

Install a flat washer (G), lock washer ( 0 ) and
nut ( P ) on screws B outside of bracket F .

R a i s e the adaptor panel up until it is flush with
the instrument panel and rubber gasket.
t. Tighten nuts P and turn the instrument over onto
the adaptor handles.
u. Loosen nuts K and s l i d e plates L over the rub-
ber gasket (Figure 1-5). Tighten nuts K.
v. Snap the battery tube and batteries into place
between the insulators on the rack panel (Figure 1-6).
1.7 CONNECTIONS.
The UNKNOWN terminals are standard %-inch-
spaced binding posts that accept banana plugs, stand-
ard telephone tips, alligator c l i p s , crocodile
c l i p s ,
