NOMOGRAPH FOR CONVERSICN OF C, L, D AND Q AT 1 kHz
The nomograph below greatly simplifies the process of converting from series t o parallel
value (or vice versa) of inductance and capacitance, for values of dissipation factor up to 10 ( 0
down to 0.1).
T o illustrate use of the nomograph, assume a parallel capacitance of 2pF, and a
D of 7. A straight line connecting these two points is seen t o cross the center (Cs) bar at 100.
Therefore, the equivalent series capacitance is 100 pF.
