• After connecting, a message appears to confirm that the camera
has been detected as new hardware (initial connection only).

• A pull-down menu entitled "M8 Digital Camera" opens for
the data transfer wizard.
5. Click on "OK" and follow the subsequent instructions in the
wizard to copy the pictures to a folder of your choice in the
normal way.

driver software appears above the taskbar. At the same time,

Connecting and transferring data with the camera as an
external drive (mass storage)
In Windows
operating systems:

If the camera is connected to the computer using the USB cable,
the operating system detects it as an external drive and assigns it a
drive letter.
In Mac
operating systems:

If the camera is connected to the computer using the USB cable,
the memory card used appears as a storage medium on the
desktop. With this method, the Finder can be used to access the
files directly.
