Battery Safety

CAUTION: Don't use old batteries with new ones, don't mix different types
of batteries together. Danger of explosion if the batteries are incorrectly
replaced. Replace only with the same or equivalent type. To reduce the
risk of fire or personal injury, read and follow these instructions

Use only the following type and size of battery:
3 AAA 1.2V, 600 mAh Rechargeable Ni-MH battery

Do not dispose of the battery in a fire. It may explode. Check with local codes for possible
special dispose instructions.

Do not open or mutilate the battery. Released electrolyte from a battery is corrosive and
may cause damage to the eyes or skin. Electrolyte may be toxic if swallowed.
Exercise care in handing the battery to prevent shorting the battery with conductive ma-

terials such as rings, bracelets and keys. The battery or conductor may overheat and
cause burns.

Charge the battery provided with (or identified for use with) this telephone only in accor-
dance with the instructions and limitations specified in this manual.

Observe proper polarity orientation between the batteries and battery charge.

SAVE THESE INSTRUCTIONS

ATTENTION:
The telephone that you have purchased contains a rechargeable battery. The battery is
recyclable. At the end of its useful life, under various state and local laws, it may be illegal to
dispose of this battery into the municipal waste stream. Check with your local solid waste
officials for details in your area for recycling options or proper disposal.
