Converting Gas Type on the Control Unit

1. Turn on the power.
2. Tap MODE.
3. Tap / until CONFI flashes.
4. Tap OK to acknowledge. There is a "P" in the left
hand display. The right hand display flashes.
5. Tap / until "12" is set.
6. Tap OK to acknowledge. "1" flashes in the left hand
display.

Vitodens 100-W, B1HA series & B1KA Combi Installation/Service
The Vitodens 100-W boiler is for use with gases whose
characteristics fall within the following ranges. Do not
use any other types of gas.
Heating value (gross)
Btu/ft 3
Specific gravity
Ultimate carbon

1. Verify that the fuel type listed on the boiler rating plate
is the correct type for the installation being attempted.
2. Once verified, record the fuel type in Maintenance
Record on page 85.
7. Tap / until "5" is set.
8. Tap OK to acknowledge. "0" or "1" flashes in the
right hand display.
9. Tap / to set the gas type.
"0" for natural gas and "1" for liquid propane.
10. Tap OK to acknowledge.
11. Turn the power OFF then ON. The parameters set are
now saved.
Static pressure
1. To measure static and/or running pressure remove
burner cover panel as per the removal instructions
on page 38.
2. Close gas shutoff valve.
3. Loosen screw in test nipple A on the gas combination
valve, do not remove completely. Connect calibrated
manometer.
4. Open the gas shutoff valve.
5. Measure static pressure. Values must be:
- 14 "w.c. max. for NG
- 14 "w.c. max. for LPG
6. Enter measured value into Maintenance Record on
page 85 in this manual.
7. Start up boiler, using the on/off service switch (field
supplied).
IMPORTANT
A CO measurement (see page 44) must be taken before

and after working on gas appliances to eliminate health risks
and to guarantee the satisfactory condition of the system.
