Safety rules for Forhedge trimmer.
• Do not use the trimmer in the rain.
• If cordset is cut or damaged remove it immediately from the power point.
• Keep hands and fingers well away from the blade.
• Wear work gloves, eye protection, solid shoes and trousers when using this hedge trimmer.
• Always grasp both handles when operating the unit.
• Disconnect the trimmer from the mains supply when you have finished work, before cleaning or if you have
been interrupted.
• This trimmer has been designed to cut soft, new growth and should not be used on branches, hard wood or
other forms of cutting.
• Do not attempt to free a jammed blade before first switching off the machine and disconnecting it from the
mains supply
• If you are interrupted when operating the trimmer, complete the process and switch off before looking up.
• Never allow untrained users or children to use the trimmer.
ELECTRICAL SAFETY RULES
■ Make sure the cord is located so that it will not bestepped on, tripped over or otherwise subjected to
damage or stress.
■ Do not abuse the power cord. Never carry the productby the cord. Never pull the plug out of the power
pointby the cord. Keep the cord away from heat, oil andsharp edges.
■ For outdoors work use only suitably approvedextension cables with a min. conductor cross section
of1.5 mm2 The plug connectors must have earthingcontacts and be rain-water-proof.
■ Inspect extension cords for deterioration, cuts orcracks in the insulation. Repair or replace the cords if
any defects appear.
■ A nameplate on the product indicates the unit'svoltage. Never connect the product to an AC voltage
that differs from this voltage.
■ If the power cord or extension cable becomesdamaged during use, disconnect the cord from the
supply immediately. DO NOT TOUCH THE CORDBEFORE DISCONNECTING THE SUPPLY.
■ Electrical power should be supplied via a ResidualCurrent Device (RCD) with a tripping current of not
more than 30 mA.
STORAGE AND TRANSPORTATION RULES
■ Stop the motor when you are waiting to cut or whenyou are walking from one cutting location to another.
■ Store the product inside in a dry place.
■ Store the product up high or lock it up to preventunauthorized use or damage. Keep the product out of
the reach of children.
■ Secure the product when transporting it.
■ Save these instructions. Refer to them frequently anduse them to instruct others who may use this product.If
you loan someone this product, loan theseinstructions also.
