4. Using a High Speed HDMI® Cable (not included), plug one end into one of the HDMI
ports in the INPUT section on the scaler/switcher, then plug the other end into the
HDMI output on your video source device. Repeat for up to three additional HDMI
video sources.
5. Using a VGA cable, plug one end into the VGA port in the INPUT section on the
scaler/switcher, then plug the other end into the VGA output on your computer,
laptop, or other device. Alternatively, plug the included video cable into the VGA
port in the INPUT section on the scaler/switcher, then plug the other end into the
RGB outputs of a component (YPbPr) video source or plug the red connector into
the video output jack of a composite (CVBS) video source.
6. Using a 3.5mm audio cable (not included), plug one end into the AUDIO jack in the
INPUT section on the scaler/switcher, then plug the other end into the audio output
jack on your computer or laptop. Alternatively, using the included audio cable, plug
one end into the AUDIO jack in the INPUT section on the scaler/switcher, then plug
the other end into the stereo RCA audio output on your component or composite
video source device.
7. (Optional) If you want to use your computer for RS232 control of the
scaler/switcher, plug one end of a serial cable (not included) into the 3-pin RS232
terminal block in the CONTROL section on the scaler/switcher, then plug the other
end into one of the COM ports on your computer or laptop.
8. (Optional) If the IR "eye" on the front panel will be obscured, such as when installing
this system into a closet or cabinet, plug the included IR receiver into the IR jack in
the CONTROL section on the scaler/switcher, then position the IR "eye" where it can
receive IR signals from the included remote control.
9. Plug the DC barrel connector on the included AC power adapter into the 12V DC
jack on the scaler/switcher, then plug the adapter into a nearby AC power outlet.
10. Plug in and power on all connected equipment, then start video playback on all
video source devices. Verify that the video from each device can be viewed on the
connected display and that the audio can be heard.
