DRIVEABILITY - NGC
P0660-MANIFOLD TUNE VALVE SOLENOID CIRCUIT —
TEST
8 Turn the ignition off.
Disconnect the PCM harness connector.
Disconnect the MTV Relay from the IPM.
Measure the resistance of the MTV Relay Control circuit between the PCM harness
connector and the IPM.
Is the resistance below 5.0 ohms?
Yes → Go To 9
→ Repair the MTV Relay Control circuit for an open.
No
9 IF there are no possible causes remaining, view repair.
Repair
10 Turn the ignition off.
Disconnect the MTV Solenoid harness connector.
Using a 12-volt test light connected to battery voltage, probe the ground circuit in the
MTV Solenoid harness connector.
Does the test light illuminate brightly?
Yes → Replace the Manifold Tuning Valve Solenoid.
→ Repair the ground circuit for an open.
No
ACTION
Perform POWERTRAIN VERIFICATION TEST VER - 5 - NGC.
Replace and program the Powertrain Control Module in accor-
dance with the Service Information.
