Using the Child Restraint
Forward-facing
Child Requirements:
• Weight: 10 to 18 kg (22 to 40 lbs)
• Height: 71 to 102 cm (28 to 40 in.)
and tops of the child's ears are at or
below the top of the child restraint
seat back.
• Age: At least 2 years old.
IMPORTANT
When installing this child restraint with Lower Anchor
Connectors or the vehicle seat belt, always use the top
anchorage (Tether) strap, if a tether anchor is available.
Tether Strap
IMPORTANT: Once your child exceeds any of the size
requirements for forward-facing use above, you
discontinue use of this child restraint. Consider use of a booster
seat at that time.

Forward-facing Installation Checklist

1. Secure child restraint to the vehicle seat.
2. Set the child in the child restraint.
The top of the child's ears are at or below the top of
the child restraint seat back.
3. Fasten the buckle.
4. Make necessary adjustments.
Crotch strap is snug against the child (page 42).
Harness straps
shoulders, with no slack (page 42).
5. Position and connect chest clip.
Chest clip
6. Check your work.
Tether strap is securely attached and tightened
MUST
Recline Stand is flipped to the upright position
(page 30).
Install with the Lower Anchors Connector Assembly
(page 31) or the vehicle seat belt (page 35).
Install tether strap (pages 34/38).
Install locking clip, if necessary (page 36).
Refer to page 41.

Recline Stand is flipped to the upright position
(page 30).
To properly secure this child restraint it
NOT
move more than 25 mm (1 in.) from side
to side or front to back at the forward-facing belt
path (pages 33 and 37).
The child's back and bottom are flat against the
back and bottom surfaces of the child restraint
(page 41).
Shoulder harness straps
MUST
shoulder height, using the strap slots closest to
your child's shoulders (page 39).
Buckle tongues are fully engaged (page 41).
