Click Open. If the connection is normal, you will be prompted to enter the username. After
entering the correct username (client002), you can enter the configuration interface. See Figure
45.

By default, Ethernet interfaces, VLAN interfaces, and aggregate interfaces are in the state of DOWN. To
configure such an interface, use the undo shutdown command to bring it up first.

When switch acts as client for password authentication

Network requirements

Switch A (the SSH client) needs to log into Switch B (the SSH server) through the SSH
protocol. See Figure 46.
•
The username of the SSH client is client001 and the password is aabbcc. Password
authentication is required.
