• Provide a minimum clearance of 0.1 meters (4 inches) around air vents. • Do not modify the fixture or install other than genuine SGM parts. • Do not operate the fixture if the ambient air temperature (Ta) exceeds 40˚ C (104˚ F).
The auto-ranging power supply automatically adjusts to AC power from 200-240 volts nominal at 50/60 Hz. The current required by the X-5/XC-5 is 4 amps. To avoid overload, allow one 4 amp branch circuit per fixture to operate the X-5/XC-5 model at full power.

To rig the fixture Always use a secure means of secondary fixing such as a safety wire Before installing, verify that; • the attachment hardware is in good condition and designed to carry at least 10 times the fixture’s weight, •...
Data Connection The X-5/XC-5 provided 5-pin XLR sockets for data connection. The pin-out on all sockets is pin 1 to shield, pin 2 to cold (-), and pin 3 to hot (+). There is no connection to pins 4 and 5. The sockets are wired in parallel: both inputs connect to both outputs.
Setup The fixture uses an interactive display for setting up DMX address and operation mode. Use the five buttons next to the display to navigate the setup structure (Fig. 1). Operation Data mode indicator Fig. 1 Fig. 2 Data Address protocol When the product is switched on, the fixture will be at its default setting showing the ROOT menu (Fig.

Setting DMX address In the root menu the user can set the DMX address directly by using the arrow UP and DOWN (Fig. 3). Fig. 3 The fixture has a handy feature which displays the DMX value for the next fixture (assuming you are connecting more than one fixture) The selected address is stored by pushing ENTER storing the DMX address.
(where it is always at maximum intensity). A special pixel mode enables the fixture to be used as a blinder, where the intensity of blinder colour (XC-5 models) or each of three pixel segments (X-5 models) can be set. Duration Flash duration can be set from 0 to 650 ms on 50 Hz power supplies, or 0 to 530 ms on 60 Hz power supplies in 3, 4, 6 or 7 channel DMX modes.

• Ramp up: Light gradually increases in intensity, then blacks out. • Ramp down: Light flashes to full intensity, then gradually fades. • Ramp up-down: Light gradually increases and decreases. • Random flash: Light flashes randomly with variable rate and intensity. Multiple units flash independently of each other. •...
Fuse Replacement The X-5/XC-5 uses a time-delay fuse for protection against current overload. The fuse is located inside the base on the main PCB of the fixture – next to the low voltage power supply. Fuses must be replaced by a certified professional.
