Before using for the first time

Before using the machine for the first
time ensure that it is correctly
installed and connected. See
"Installation and connection". Also
check that the drain filter is securely
tightened to prevent the risk of water
leaks during use.
Before using for the first time
The washing machine has a sensor
which measures the amount of laundry
in the drum. This determines the
amount of detergent required. To allow
the load size indicator to function
correctly, you must first run a wash
programme without any laundry and
without detergent.
A Open the stopcock.
B Press the I-On/0-Off button in.
C Turn the programme selector to the
Cottons Uni. 40°C position.
D Press the Start button.
E At the end of the wash programme:
Turn the programme selector to
Finish .
The load sensor must then be
calibrated to zero as you would with
bathroom scales.

F Press the Door button and open the
drum door.
G Turn the empty drum round once by
hand.
H Turn the programme selector to the
Hygiene + 95°C position.
The Load % indicator light will come
on.
I Press and hold the button above the
Start button until an audible tone
sounds. The sensor has now been
calibrated to zero.
The accuracy of the calibration
device will improve over the first few
programmes. At first it will drop a
little. For this reason, please re-
calibrate the sensor to zero after
each of the first few wash cycles.
If the sensor is not calibrated to zero
then the values displayed by the
washing machine will be incorrect.
The machine is now ready for use.
