TABLE OF PROBLEMS AND SOLUTIONS
Effect
After the general switch-on, the alarm FL will appear on the display
of the controller.
There are unusual noises or vibrations coming from the hydraulic
circuit
Alarm Lo appears (first intervention rearms automatically; then
manually thereafter)
Alarm E1 appears (automatic re-arm)
Alarm E2 appears (automatic re-arm)
Alarm E3 appears (automatic re-arm)
Alarm E4 appears (automatic re-arm)
Alarm hi appears (automatic re-arm)
The heat pump does not work.
The controller display show Pdc alarm (automatic re-arm)
The heat pump does not operate in heating or sanitary
Unsatisfactory cooling or heating
The LEG alarm is displayed (only displayed).
Any alarm signal is accompanied by the locking of the outlets, by the
lighting of the LED and the sounding of the buzzer (to stop the latter,
simply press any key on the controller) and is subject to the maximum
time frequency check (3 alarms per hour).
Below this value the alarm shall be automatically reset, while, if the set
value is exceeded, the alarm will need to be reset manually (in this case,
the alarms specific sign shall alternate with the ALr sign that means that
the device is locked).
The LED
turns off when the event that triggered the alarm ceases;
only then will it be possible to reset the alarm, by pressing the key
for 5 seconds. The opening of the DI1 inlet, connected to the differential
pressure gauge that acts as a flow meter, makes all the exits turn off
immediately and, after 1 minute, when the pump is kept on to check
once again that the flow meter has closed, it triggers the ALr manual
reset alarm signal which alternates with the FL sign, and turns the pump
off permanently.
The low temperature (5°C anti-freeze signalled on the display by the
Lo prompt) and high temperature (80° hi on the display) alarms are
managed through the system's T2 outlet temperature sensor positioned
just outside the plate exchanger and the sanitary water tank's T3 sensor.

Cause
The water does not circulate well in the system.
There is air inside the circuit.
The anti-freeze minimum temperature alarm has intervened.
The outlet water temperature has fallen below 5 °C.
The inlet water temperature probe is faulty or not correctly
connected
The antifreeze/outlet water temperature probe is faulty or not
correctly connected
The probe that measures the temperature positioned within the
sanitary boiler (to be connected to clamps 12-13) is faulty or is not
connected correctly.
The external temperature measuring probe (to be connected to
terminals 13-14) is faulty or incorrectly connected.
The incoming water temperature, as measured bt t2, or the sanitary
water tank temperature, as measured by t3, exceeds 80°C.
There is no communication with the external unit and on the control
panel display of the external unit the symbol
accompanied by the prompt R.C.1 flashing.
The controller display shows oFF
The controller display is totally off
In version 15 or 18 three-phase, alarm P05 appears on the control
panel of the external unit.
The outdoor unit is not working properly (the inspection symbol
as well as the letters E, F, H, L, P and some numbers appear
on the display of the control panel of the external unit)
The LED next to the ON/ OFF symbol
controller flashes
The display controller shows Cal
Defrosting of the outdoor unit doesn't work and there is ice on
the coil
The setpoint on the controller is adjusted to a value that is too low
(heating mode) or too high (cooling mode)
The room thermostat is adjusted to a temperature that is too high
for cooling (or too low for heating)
Doors and/or windows open
The anti-Legionella cycle ended incorrectly after 5 hours
instead of after maintaining a temperature of 60°C for 2
hours.
The low temperature alarm is monitored also when the controller is in
stand-by, and triggers the oFF and ALo prompts alternatively and the
starting of the circulation pump. The alarm is reset when the water
temperature goes up again to above the 5°C + 3°C hysteresis threshold.
If the external condenser unit malfunctions, the PdC alarm is displayed
(see paragraph 3.10).
If the anti-Legionella cycle ends because the timeout has expired, only
the LEG prompt is displayed.
The E1, E2, E3 and E4 warning signals may also be displayed, if teh three
temperature probes break down or their measurements are incorrect.
If during operation of the unit there is an interruption in the current,
when the power is reconnected within few minutes the unit will
restart and will maintain the same settings that were entered before
the power was interrupted.
USE AND MAINTENANCE

Troubleshooting

Solution
Check that: the interception valves are open, that the 3-way valve for
the hot-cold deviation is in the correct position, that there are no air
bubbles in the circuit, that at least one of the user-units has the circuit
open or is fitted with a three-way valve, that the external sieve filter is
not blocked, that the water pressure in the system is correct, that the
circulation pump is working correctly (unblock if necessary)
Bleed the air both with the external units and the vent on the machine
inertial tank and return the circuit to the correct load pressure.
Check that the suction pressure (hydraulic circuit return) is more than
0.6 BAR with the pump ON.
Check that there is nothing that could prevent proper circulation of
the water within the system (air, partially closed valve, external sieve
filter clogged etc).
Check that the thermal difference between the system inlet and outlet
is between 4-7°C
- checking the parameters t1 and t3 with the
paragraph 3.3.1).
If the thermal difference is less than 4°C set a lower speed for the
circulator. If, on the contrary, the difference is greater than 7°C check
that all of the valves present on the system are open and possibly
add an external pump in order to increase the water flow or add a
hydraulic separator.
Check the connection and if necessary replace the probe
Check the connection and if necessary replace the probe
Check the connection and if necessary replace the probe
Check the connection and if necessary replace the probe
If a boiler is installed in the system, check the system deviator valves
If in the system is present a solar collector is possible that the
temperature detected by t3 in the water tank detects a high
temperature but this does not preclude the production of hot or cold
water for the plant.
Please repeat the procedure described in the Automatic address
appears and is
setting section.
The SANITARY + HEATING OR COOLING / STAND-BY /
SANITARY ONLY switch on the control panel is in the central
position. Move it to one of the other two possible positions.
Verify that the main appliance disconnect switch Q1 on the
control panel is in the I-ON position.
Verify that the electrical power supply is present and if not
restore it.
Invert two of the three-phase power supply phases
Check the meaning of the alarm on the Alarms shown on the control
panel of the external unit (see section 3.10) and contact the Technical
Customer Service
The auxiliary heater has been enabled but the resistance or support
of the of the
boiler are not active. Verify that the switch Q2 is armed and that the
boiler is electrically supplied .
It has been activated the specific Cal function that provides for the
exclusive operation of a boiler with the switching off of the heat pump.
Check with the installer that the boiler is correctly activated.
Check the minimum distances installation and remove any obstacles.
Reset the set according to your needs.
Adjust the set to a suitable value..
Close them in order to prevent air from entering.
The auxiliary heater (RESISTANCE OR SUPPORT BOILER) is
not available and/or does not have enough power to carry out
the relevant function.
